Argentina: IDB provides $100 million loan to improve connectivity in Argentina

The Inter-American Development Bank has approved a digital infrastructure loan of $100 million repayable in 25 years to improve connectivity in Argentina. With the loan, the development of digital connectivity in remote areas will become a reality. The loan will also be used to improve the capacity of the Argentine National Data Center.

Digital connectivity will be improved through funding the purchase and updating of information processing and storage equipment at the National Data Center. The National Data Center is owned by Satellite Solutions company. Besides, Satellite Solutions is also state-owned. National Data Center is located in the Benavidez Earth Station. It was built to Tier III standards.
