Africa Data Centres: Africa Data Centres to invest $500m inbuilding 10 data centers across Africa

Africa Data Centres has announced its plans to spend $500 million building 10 data centers across the African continent in two years. It hopes to double its data center footprint with this investment. Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt are some of the countries it plans to invest in. The Company revealed that the data center development would be funded through facilities and equities from top development finance institutions and multilateral organizations.

CEO of Africa Data Centres, Stephane Duproz, said the Company has started acquiring land to develop the data centers with plans in place for quick roll-out. He further added that after examining the growth trajectory for Africa, the Company has decided to invest in new locations and expand in selected existing facilities.
