TierPoint has announced that Argo Infrastructure Partners has invested $500 million into its business. The move sees Argo Infrastructure Partners become the largest single equity investor in the firm. TierPoint will use the net proceeds from the transaction to expand the company and provide partial liquidity to its other investors. The CEO and Chairman of TierPoint, Jerry Kent, said the company is excited that Argo has become its largest investor. He added that the funds would help strengthen the company’s position in a competitive and demanding market.

This is not the first time Argo is investing in TierPoint, as it invested alongside Macquarie Capital Principal Finance and Wafra in 2020 by contributing to a $320m fundraise. TierPoint was founded in 2010, and it has over 30 data centers in its portfolio. However, most of these data centers are in second-tier markets.
