Amazon AWS: AWS continues to expand its local zones

Ever-growing and expanding its reach, AWS has announced that local zones are now available in Atlanta, Phoenix, and Seattle. This expansion means that the giant now has 17 Edge locations in 16 US metros. 

Its zones now include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, and Seattle. 

Commenting on the news, in a statement, AWS said: "Today we are announcing the general availability of AWS Local Zones in Atlanta, Phoenix, and Seattle. Customers can now use these new Local Zones to deliver applications that require single-digit millisecond latency to end-users or for on-premises installations in these three metro areas."
