Amazon Web Service (AWS) has plans to develop up to four data centers in Boardman, Oregon. The company filed with Oregon’s Marrow County to develop a data center campus on a 127-acre site. The site is located on the west side of Bombing Range Road, a mile away from Interstate 84 Interchange and Highway 730. Furthermore, AWS is working with Yost Grube Hall Architecture to develop the data center campus, water treatment building, and security building. Amazon gained approval for the facility in March.

AWS plans to develop four single-story data center buildings at the site. Each of these buildings measures 20,000 square meters (215,461 square feet). The facility will also have water storage tanks, an industrial water treatment building, and a 1,300 square meter (14,000 square feet) data storage building. The first phase of development at the facility will deliver one data center. The company has had a presence in Oregon for a while, with its first presence in the state dating back to 2011.
