Amazon Web Services plans to develop three more data centers in Northern Virginia's Stone Ridge. BizJournal was the first to report the development. AWS is looking to develop the data centers on its 90-acre land at 42139 Reeds Farm Lane, southwest of Dulles International Airport in Loudoun County. The size of the buildings wasn’t disclosed. However, the facilities will be between two and three stories tall.

Amazon Web Services acquired the land for $116.4m in July 2019 from an affiliate of White Peaks Capital. Interestingly, A White Peaks affiliate acquired the land a day before it sold it to Amazon for $98.67m. AWS already has a heavy data center presence in Northern Virginia. The company has acquired land in Aldie and Sterling in Loudoun County and Gainesville, Prince William County. In addition, it is also looking to expand in Warrenton, Stevensburg, Chantilly, and Manassas.
