Ascendas Reit (CapitaLand): CapitaLand Expanding In India Through Developments in Five Markets

CapitaLand has announced that it is looking to develop multiple data centers across India. The Singaporean real estate firm said it would set up these facilities in Noida, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai. Although the company had already started work on the Navi Mumbai data center and revealed plans for its Chennai facility, its interest in Noida, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad is just coming to light. 

CapitaLand Investment’s managing director, Surajit Chatterjee, said the company would be developing a chain of world-class hyperscale data centers that would boost and support India’s digital economy. According to Chatterjee, CapitaLand India will develop all the data centers on its own to ensure adequate control over their quality and designs.
