DataBank has announced the acquisition of a data center it was leasing in Denver, Colorado. The company plans to develop a new data center campus at the DEN2 facility. The data center is located at 6900 South Peoria Street, Colorado. DataBank did not reveal the details of the transaction. According to DataBank, the move allows it to consolidate the newly acquired site with the adjacent property it acquired at 6961 South Quentin Street. The property will be the home of DataBank’s planned DEN5 facility.

The company is transforming the light industry facility located at 6961 Quentin Street into the DEN5 facility. DEN5 will have a 15MW capacity and 75,000 square feet (7,000 square meters) of raised flooring. The data center's first phase will have one data hall and 30,000 square feet of raised flooring. It will also feature 6MW of power. DataBank will be combining the DEN5 and DEN2 facilities to create a new data center campus with over 20MW of capacity and more than 115,000 square feet of raised flooring.
