Digital Realty Trust: Digital Realty Files To Develop its Fourth Data Center in Atlanta

Digital Realty is looking to develop its fourth facility in Atlanta, Georgia. The company applied with the city of Atlanta to develop the data center opposite its 56 Marietta Street data center. Digital Realty is looking to build a 10-story building data center with a total floor area of 300,000 sq ft (27,900 square meters). The facility will also have up to 130,000 square feet (12,100 square meters) of data center white space. The hearing for the proposal will be held in August.

Helen Bleasdale, a spokesperson for Digital Realty, said there’s high demand for the company’s interconnection and colocation solutions in Atlanta. According to her, the company is committed to meeting customers’ demands through expansion. Aside from the data center at 56 Marietta Street, Digital Realty has a nine-story facility at 250 Williams Street NW and a 28.8MW facility at 101 Aquila Way.
