Flexential has announced that it is planning to expand this year, and will add 22MW of new data center development projects this year, at double the growth rate of 2021.
In conjunction with this, the company announced that it had completed its 36MW Hillsboro 3 data center in Portland, Oregon, which spans 358,000 sq ft (33,300 sqm). Likewise, it has broken ground on the first phase of a new data center in Atlanta, Georgia, which, when fully built out, will have 130,000 sq ft (12,00 sqm) of IT space and 22.5MW of capacity.
Speaking about the expansion, Chris Downie, CEO of Flexential, said: "As we all reflect on the challenges of the past two years and look to the future to accommodate new realities, driving growth has never been a more complicated mission. Traditional playbooks will not suffice. Companies must reimagine what it takes to meet the needs of their teams and their end-users."
