According to Bloomberg, the owners of Global Switch are preparing to sell off the data center firm. The report shows that Global Switch Holdings Ltd. Is prepared to sell off the company to other firms due to multiple interests from investment funds and other companies in the data center industry. Per Bloomberg, Global Switch will be sending out marketing materials to potential buyers after preparing for this moment for months.

Data center companies like Equinix and Digital Realty have shown interest in the $10 billion company. Investment firms that have also shown interest in acquiring the business include DigitalBridge, Blackstone, KKR, and Brookfield. Global Switch is backed by Avic Trust Co. and controlled by Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., a Chinese steelmaker.

The management of Global Switch and Shagang Group’s discussion about the company's valuation is part of the reason why the sale process is slow. Global Switch was founded in 1998, and it operates 13 data centers across Asia, Australia, and Europe.
