QTS is partnering up with AWS to decentralize network exchanges, expanding its connectivity ecosystem. Atlanta has been announced as one of the three QTS locations to include this AWS network infrastructure (the other locations in the “multi-megawatt agreement,” are Chicago and New Jersey).

Speaking on the deal,  Sean Baillie, executive vice president for connectivity at QTS, said: "We are pleased to support network infrastructure for the world's most scalable, secure, and reliable cloud.” Adding: "Our vision for diverse connectivity hubs and ubiquitous, low-latency network access is top of mind for enterprise, hyperscale, and government customers and central to our business strategy."

QTS also recently signed a 20-year agreement with Georgia Power that added nearly 350 megawatts of new renewable energy to the power grid in Atlanta, which will mean that around 90% of QTS’ data center power will come from renewable energy sources.
