Amazon has proposed developing a massive data center campus called Lake Anna Tech Campus in Louisa County, Virginia.

The Lake Anna Tech Campus (LATC)—covering some 1.7 million square feet will provide a minimum of 420 megawatt (MW) of data center capacity to serve the expanding demand for cloud-based computing.
The plans involve constructing seven data center buildings, two ancillary buildings, an admin building, and two on-site substations on a 153-acre site on the east line of Kentucky Road (Route 652), east of the intersection of Haley Drive and Kentucky Road, in Louisa County, Virginia.
The campus would span over 1.7 million square feet at full build-out, with six of the data center buildings being two-story structures offering 256,284 square feet and 12 pods each. The seventh building would be a two-story structure with 185,864 square feet and eight pods.
